Samsung Art of Feeling is an app enabling art lovers to discover a new way to experience art - through emotion.
For the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, we partnered with galleries across the globe to bring this experience to life, where participants were able to generate unique and beautiful art works of their own - based on their personal gallery experience. These were then printed to take home and frame.
The idea was to use innovative technology to create a new interactive way of experiencing art in galleries. We wanted to make it possible for visitors to explore art based on the emotion the pieces provoke.
To enable this we created an app where the consumer could choose from 16 emotions to input how each piece of art made them feel.
When entering the gallery the visitors were handed a Samsung Galaxy note 4 device with the user-generated mood map that would guide them through the gallery. In the app they could view the gallery's floor plan and filter by emotion if they would like to see where a particular emotion has been entered within the gallery. When encountering a new piece they could enter their own personal feeling that best described their reaction. At the end of their journey, they receive a personalised piece of art based on their own experience.
